Zazor

Terms of service

Effective [effective date]

Draft. This page describes how the service works today, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and has blanks to fill in. It is not yet a binding document.

These terms are an agreement between [company legal name] ("we") and the organization that uses Zazor ("you"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them on behalf of your organization, and confirm you are allowed to.

The service

Zazor researches publicly available information about software products and presents a comparison of their capabilities, with the source and passage each claim rests on. It uses AI models to do this.

Accuracy: read this part

  • Research results are generated with AI from public sources. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, including about your own product and about other companies' products.
  • "Not found" means we found no evidence either way. It does not mean a product lacks a capability.
  • Each claim shows its source so a person can check it. You are responsible for checking a claim before you rely on it or repeat it outside your organization, in particular in sales, marketing or public statements about another company.
  • Zazor does not give legal, financial or investment advice.

Your account

  • Give accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been used by someone else.
  • Your organization's admins decide who can join and what they can do. You are responsible for what is done through your accounts and API keys.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service to research individuals, or enter personal information about your customers or other people;
  • connect sources you have no right to give us access to, or use the service to obtain information that is not public by getting around access controls;
  • try to break, overload or probe the service, or get around its limits, budgets or security;
  • resell the service or build a competing product from it, or use it to break the law or another party's rights.

Your content and ours

  • What you enter and what your team writes stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you.
  • You may use the research results and reports for your organization's own business. Passages quoted from third-party pages belong to their publishers; the results quote short passages with their source so a claim can be checked.
  • The service itself, including its software and design, is ours. Feedback you give us may be used to improve it without obligation to you.
  • Copies of public pages may be reused to research the same product for other customers. Your decisions, notes, private sources and anything you connect are never shared with another organization. [Today stored pages are kept per organization and are not shared. Keep or remove this sentence to match what you decide.]

Fees

[State the plan, price, billing period, taxes and what happens on non-payment, or: "Fees are as set out in the order or pilot agreement between us."] Limits you set on research spending inside the product are a control for you, not a price.

Privacy and security

Our Privacy policy explains what we hold and how we protect it. [If customers need one: "A data processing agreement is available on request."]

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we give no service level commitment unless we have agreed one with you in writing. We may change or remove features; if a change materially reduces the service, we will tell admins in advance where we reasonably can.

Ending the agreement

  • You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your organization's data.
  • We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if required by law, or if the service is being harmed. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
  • On ending, we delete your organization's data within [number] days, except what the law requires us to keep.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, including that results are accurate or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or revenue, and each party's total liability under these terms is limited to [liability cap]. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law and courts]. If part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will tell admins before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept it. Contact: [contact email].
